Lee Jae-myung 'silenced' to suspicion of involvement in trial of Kim Yong, 'illegal political funds'

Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, has been silent over allegations that he was involved in the trial of Kim Yong, a former vice president of the Democratic Research Institute, who is close to him.

Representative Lee attended the trial of the Wirye and Daejang-dong allegations held today (8th) by the Seoul Central District Court.

Representative Lee did not respond to reporters asking if the circumstances involved in the former vice president Kim's trial were correct or if there was a reason to be involved if it was true.

In addition, when asked about his feelings about the sentence of the first trial of the Public Official Election Act, which is a week away, he avoided immediate answers and went into court.

Recently, the prosecution reportedly submitted a statement from a person involved in the case to the court on charges of perjury of Lee's presidential campaign personnel as additional evidence that Lee was involved in Kim's trial argument.

Since April last year, CEO Lee has reportedly participated in the Telegram chat room, which includes former Vice Chairman Kim's lawyer, to share the trial situation and suggest the direction of his argument.
