Support vessels include one destroyer, two frigates, two rescue ships, and one guided missile fast ship, including the Navy's 7th Motor Front.
It added that P-3 maritime patrol aircraft and Lynx maritime operations helicopters were also mobilized to conduct extensive searches.
After receiving reports on the accident, President Yoon Suk Yeol ordered the Coast Guard and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries as well as the Ministry of Defense to search and rescue lives.
