A court ruled that painter Park Jae-dong, who disclosed litigation data related to victims of sexual harassment without permission, should compensate the victim for damages.

The Seoul Central District Court ruled today (8th) that part of the plaintiff should be paid 50 million won to A in a lawsuit filed by victim A against painter Park.

The court ruled that Park caused mental pain by violating A's right to self-determination of personal information or privacy, such as sharing litigation materials containing private conversations with others and releasing them on social media.

Earlier, painter Park filed a lawsuit for a correction report, saying that A's claim was false, when his sex crime case was reported to the media in 2018 due to A's report.

Mr. A testified as a witness in the lawsuit, and painter Park posted litigation data such as A's conversation and phone recording on social media through acquaintances, and Mr. A claimed 100 million won in damages, saying it was a second offense.
