Today, some participants of the "first general meeting for the resignation of the government" held by the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and progressive groups near Seoul City Hall clashed with the police and were arrested.

Namdaemun Police Station in Seoul said it has arrested and is investigating 10 participants on charges of obstruction of justice and other charges.

They are accused of assaulting while protesting against police restraint at the scene of the rally.

In this regard, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency issued a statement saying it expressed strong regret as the rally turned into an illegal rally, such as occupying the entire Sejong-daero road and assaulting police officers.

At the same time, he said he would strictly investigate illegal actors arrested at the scene, including applying for arrest warrants.
