A rally for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol was held at the same time in downtown Seoul over the weekend.

At 4 p.m. today (9th), the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and progressive organizations held the "First General Assembly for the Resignation of the Government" on the road in front of Seoul City Hall.

Participants criticized the current administration for closing its eyes and ears, and in particular, the president responded to the public's demand for a change over President Yoon's public conversation and press conference, urging him to step down.

The Federation of Korean Trade Unions held a national workers' meeting in Yeouido, Seoul at 2 p.m. and criticized the government's labor policy, saying it does not take care of the lives of ordinary people.

In the meantime, conservative groups, including the Korea Barrow Movement Headquarters, also held a rally in Gwanghwamun and insisted on gathering conservatives, saying they should prevent the opposition party from attempting to impeach President Yoon.

He also told Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, that he should apologize for his crimes first, and that Lee's first trial should be broadcast live to resolve the suspicions.
