The body of one of the 12 missing people on the Venus ship that sank off Jeju Island was found last night (9th).
Identification confirmed that he was a Korean man in his 60s.
The Coast Guard has been searching for three days to find additional missing people.
There is a reporter on the scene. Reporter Kim Ki-soo!
One missing person was confirmed last night (9th), is there any progress since then?
[Reporter]
Yes, one of the missing people was found for the first time around 9 o'clock last night.
Since then, there has been no news of further discovery.
The Coast Guard found a missing person around the sunken hull using a remote-controlled underwater robot, R.O.V., at around 9 p.m. last night.
At the time of discovery, it was confirmed that he was wearing a waterproof work suit.
The salvage work was carried out immediately, and the body was transferred to Jeju Port at around 2:15 a.m.
The man found was identified as a Korean sailor in his 60s who was aboard the Venus at the time.
The body is said to have been moved to Busan this afternoon for a funeral.
Since then, the Coast Guard has continued its night search by firing flare to find the remaining 11 missing people, but no additional missing people have been found overnight.
The family is anxious as the discovery of missing people is delayed.
Listen directly to the missing family.
[Missing family] At first, I was calm. I didn't think he'd be dead. Since I've been on the boat for a long time. I was thinking like that, but when I got a missing report, I thought, "Oh, my" and my stomach turned upside down. I'm worried about how I'll live alone in the future. My younger brother relied on me a lot and helped me a lot.]

It's raining in the Jeju area today, is there any impact on the search operation?
[Reporter]
Yes, it's raining and stopping in Jeju Island right now, and the wind is blowing little by little.
The Coast Guard said it considers the weather conditions, but explained that it will proceed with the search as planned.
Since the day, 50 ships and nine aircraft have been deployed to search the sea.
Also, a private rescue company arrived a little while ago at 12:20 p.m.
The Navy and the Coast Guard are expected to decide whether to deploy deep-sea submarines after an underwater search meeting at 4 p.m.
However, weather conditions are expected to be a variable, with occasional rain around the area of the accident.
This is because if the weather gets worse, it can be difficult not only to deploy remote-controlled underwater robots but also to search underwater.
The Coast Guard is in a position to continue the search based on the weather and on-site conditions.
From tomorrow afternoon, the wind is expected to subside and the wave is expected to decrease.
The Coast Guard believes that this is the right time to search for divers.
