The Korea Sports Association has directly opposed the announcement of the results of the Cabinet Office's inspection of irregularities.

In an official press release this afternoon (10th), the Sports Council declared that it could not agree to the announcement of the results of the Cabinet Office's irregularities.

The Sports Council said it was exhausted from simultaneous investigations, hearings and audits by the government, the National Assembly and the Board of Audit and Inspection after the Paris Olympics, and some employees complained of panic, explaining that there could be a lack of data from the Office for Government Policy Coordination.

He added that he earnestly requests a strict re-investigation of all allegations of misconduct pointed out by the Office for Government Policy Coordination.

The Sports Council also argued that the announcement by the Cabinet Office came two days before the re-examination of the heads of sports organizations, including Lee Ki-heung, chairman of the Korea Sports Council, and that it could not erase doubts that it was illegal election intervention.
