The Ministry of Justice will submit detailed expenditures, including the date, amount and location of special expenses used by six major agencies, including the Supreme Prosecutors' Office and the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, to the National Assembly Judiciary Committee this week.
An official from the Ministry of Justice explained that it is physically difficult to extract a year's worth of special expenses from all agencies right now, and that they are discussing possible scope such as the period and target of submission.
Earlier, the Judiciary Committee deliberated on next year's government budget and decided to cut 8 billion won in special activities and 50.7 billion won in special expenses for the prosecution led by the opposition party.
