The Democratic Party of Korea, which is pushing for the Kim Gun-hee independent counsel law, has announced that it will drastically reduce the number of investigations and submit amendments including the so-called "third party recommendation proposal."
Ahead of the parliamentary plenary session on the 14th, the special prosecutor's strategy seems to have changed somewhat.
The ruling party has announced a general meeting of lawmakers to discuss the special inspector, but some predict that it will not be easy to reach an agreement within the party.
I'm connecting you with a reporter from the National Assembly. Reporter Kim Dayeon!
Please point out the core content of the amendment.

The existing Special Prosecutor Kim Act includes 13 suspicions as the subject of investigation, but the amendment is to drastically reduce the subject of investigation due to controversy over the involvement of Deutsche Motors stock price manipulation and the nomination intervention involving Myung Tae-kyun, who is of great public interest.
He also said he would accept a method in which a "third party," not an opposition party, recommends a special prosecutor, which is also a method proposed earlier by Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People's Power, over the Special Prosecutor Act on Chae Sang-byung.
It is interpreted as an intention to pressure the ruling party by pointing out that the subject of the investigation is ambiguous and abstract, and by accepting the method proposed earlier by representative Han.
Let's listen to the Democratic leadership's remarks at the meeting.
[Park Chan-dae / Floor Leader of the main opposition Minjoo Party: If Han and the people act in a way that does not agree with the public and reject the public sentiment again, they will collapse with Kim Gun-hee and his Yoon Suk Yeol in Yongsan. Don't miss the last chance.]
The amendment, which was in the 'review' stage until yesterday, took off this morning in a closed meeting.
Although the ruling party's official position has yet to be released after the amendment was submitted, Kim Jong-hyuk, a member of the People's Power, pointed out at the morning meeting that the Democratic Party's amendment is to confess how shameless the special prosecution law they proposed was.
Floor leader Choo Kyung-ho also announced the proposal to exercise the president's right to demand reconsideration, so let's listen to his remarks.
[Choo Kyung-ho / People's Power Floor Leader: We firmly oppose the anti-constitutional bad independent counsel bill, and we plan to strongly suggest the president's right to request reconsideration immediately if the Democratic Party unilaterally pushes ahead with it.]

The ruling party is holding a general meeting of lawmakers to discuss the special inspector this week, right?
[Reporter]
On the 14th, when the opposition party announced the plenary session, it plans to hold a general meeting of lawmakers.
The special inspector system is an independent body of the presidential office that inspects the president's relatives, including the first lady, and is nominated by the president when the National Assembly recommends candidates.
Representative Han Dong-hoon became a hot topic when he publicly mentioned it on the 23rd of last month, and there were many differences such as "I'm doing good to the Democratic Party" and "The party negotiation strategy is shaken," which seemed to spread to internal discord within the party.
However, it seems that President Yoon Suk Yeol has opened the door for discussion at a recent press conference, saying that he will definitely appoint him if he receives a recommendation from the National Assembly.A key representative of
told YTN that negative public opinion has not yet fallen out, reiterating the need for a reform measure, namely a special inspector.
However, there is still opposition.
In a phone call with YTN, a first-term lawmaker also explained the internal atmosphere that there seems to be a sense of crisis among lawmakers who have been through the impeachment process that the special inspector could be the beginning of the impeachment.
Therefore, some predict that the discussion itself may be focused on rather than any results from this general meeting.

The ruling and opposition parties' political consultative body was also launched today, so what discussions have been exchanged?
[Reporter]
Initially, the goal was to launch a consultative body in which the ruling party, opposition parties, the medical community and the government all participated, but once the opposition party and some medical community were absent, the anchor was raised.
Kim Sung-won, a member of the People's Power who attended as the ruling party's representative, told reporters after the meeting that he would reach meaningful results by the end of next month.
At the closed meeting, the issue of the return of the resignation major was mentioned, but it was found that the increase in medical school in the 25th grade was not discussed.
Senior spokesman Han Ji-ah again urged the opposition to participate, saying that the health of the people is the purpose of the consultative body and the method is communication.
Rep. Park Joo-min, who headed the Democratic Party's Special Committee on Medical Disruption, called for a change in the government's attitude, saying in a media interview that taking pictures is not important, but that the room for discussion on the 25th grade quota issue should be left open.
The council plans to hold a small meeting every Wednesday starting this week and a general meeting at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
