Representative Jin Jong-oh of the People's Power launched a one-man protest in front of the court, demanding a live broadcast of the first trial of the Democratic Party of Korea's leader Lee Jae-myung's violation of the election law.
Representative Jin issued a statement calling for a live broadcast of the trial in front of the Seoul Central District Court this morning (11th), and insisted, "The trial should be broadcast live so that the public can watch and judge all the charges Lee receives."
He then explained that if representative Lee is really proud, he will not have to wage a public opinion war behind political power, but to plead his innocence in court and prove his injustice to the public through live broadcasts.
After the announcement of the statement, lawmaker Jin submitted a "request for live cooperation" to the court, and said he plans to continue daily one-man demonstrations until the 15th, when the sentence will be held.
