Changwon District Prosecutors' Office said it submitted a request for arrest warrants for former lawmaker Kim Young-sun and Myung Tae-kyun to the court at around 4:45 p.m. today (11th).

The charges against the two men are in violation of the Political Fund Act.

is accused of receiving 90 million won in salary from former lawmaker Kim after the 2022 by-election.

The two explained to the prosecution to the effect that they lent and paid each other back.

The prosecution called Myeong last Friday and weekend to investigate whether he violated the Political Fund Act for two consecutive days.

Earlier, on the 3rd and 4th, former lawmaker Kim was summoned to investigate for two days.

Meanwhile, suspicions have emerged that President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife intervened in the nomination, coupled with the two men's alleged violations of the Political Fund Act.

It is suspected of intervening in the nomination of former lawmaker Kim in the 2022 parliamentary by-election,

Along with the two, the prosecution also requested arrest warrants for two people who were preliminary candidates for the Yeongnam region's local government head and metropolitan city council in the 8th local election.

The warrant review to determine whether the four people will be arrested is expected to take place as early as Thursday or the 14th.
