In addition, the Democratic Party of Korea has decided to submit a "revised bill" of the Kim Gun-hee Special Prosecutor Act, which reduces the scope of the investigation and allows a third party to recommend a special prosecutor.

Some analysts say that it is a paving stone for the ruling party's departure vote in case it is put to a re-vote due to the exercise of the right to demand reconsideration of the president of Yoon Suk Yeol.

Reporter Lee Jun-yeop reports.

The Democratic Party of Korea has indicated that it will revise the third Kim Gun-hee independent counsel law, which will be put up at the National Assembly plenary session on the 14th.

The scope of the investigation, which had reached 13 suspicions, was reduced to suspicions of stock manipulation at Deutsche Motors and intervention in nominations and elections triggered by Myung Tae-kyun, and said it would also accept third-party recommendations.

[Han Min-soo / Spokesperson of the Democratic Party of Korea: People's Power Han Dong-hoon, People's Power, or the president's office can oppose it even though our Democratic Party does this to accomplish it?]

The reason why the Democratic Party of Korea took out the amendment card seems to be because it believes that the ruling party's departure vote is essential to break through the repeated demands for reconsideration, that is, the "rejective political situation."

In particular, it is analyzed that the intention is to increase the pressure of the special prosecutor to the maximum at a time when the party is refraining from impeaching or attacking the constitutional amendment for shortening the term of office.

[Park Chan-dae / Democratic Party leader: Stop making excuses for the toxic clause and come up with a proposal that the people can understand.]

The People's Power criticized the amendment of the special prosecution as an arrogant and shallow trick to distract attention ahead of the first trial of Lee Jae-myung.

In particular, he shot back as acknowledging how unreasonable the special prosecution law was to deal with dozens of suspicions.

[Kim Jong-hyuk / Supreme Council member of People's Power: Isn't he actually confessing how shameless the Special Prosecutor's Law was? If the court delivers a sentence, the Democratic Party's rift is expected to become even more serious.]

Floor leader Choo Kyung-ho also said he would propose a request for reconsideration to President Yoon Suk Yeol as soon as the opposition party pushes ahead with the independent counsel law, while representative Han Dong-hoon declined to say, saying, "I have nothing to say."

However, it is considered a variable that some of the pro-Yoon faction as well as the pro-Yoon faction have suggested that they preemptively receive the special prosecution law excluding toxic provisions, such as the opposition party's exclusive recommendation.

[Cho Kyung-tae / Member of the People's Power (MBC Radio 'Kwon Soon-pyo's News High Kick'): With the exception of the toxic clause, isn't there a time when I can discuss a third-party independent counsel....]

The Democratic Party of Korea is increasing the level of public opinion to deal with the special prosecution, including outdoor rallies and signature campaigns.

On the other hand, there are few perceptions within the ruling party that the special prosecutor is a stepping stone to impeachment.

This is why the results of the vote at the National Assembly plenary session on the 14th are drawing attention.
