Fire authorities have issued the first stage of response and are extinguishing a fire in the basement of a residential-commercial building in Michuhol-gu, Incheon.

There was also a nursing home in the building on fire, and a total of 43 people were taken to the hospital.

I'll connect you with the field reporter.

Reporter Kim Yi-young, please tell me the situation there.

[Reporter]
I don't see any flames or smoke, but there's still an acrid smell in my nose.

You can also see a line of fire trucks.

It was around 6:30 p.m. that a fire broke out in the basement of a 16-story residential-commercial building in Soongui-dong, Incheon.

Thirty minutes later, at around 7 p.m., the fire department issued the first stage of response to mobilize all the personnel and equipment of the competent fire department and started extinguishing the fire.

A total of 43 people were taken to the hospital, of which three were seriously injured.

However, the health authorities explained that three seriously injured people are not in serious condition.

Most of the hospital's transferors came from nursing homes on the fourth floor of the building.

Fire authorities said in an on-site briefing a while ago that a fire broke out in an underground parking lot and a lot of smoke rose to the nursing home on the fourth floor.

There was a mart on the first floor of the building and a sauna on the third floor of the office on the second floor, and everyone here was evacuated. In the

underground parking lot, three cars were damaged by fire, and they said they were not electric cars.

The fire authorities have put out a big fire at around 8:15.

Fire authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage as soon as the fire is completely extinguished.

So far, I'm YTN Kim Yi-young at the fire site in Soongui-dong, Incheon.
