The New York Post said Spot has stepped up security against Trump with a robot dog, carrying videos and photos of him patrolling his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, his home.
Spot's legs are marked with the words 'Do not touch' and a mechanical device above the torso that appears to be an advanced sensor.
The Secret Service, which is in charge of high-level government personnel security, confirmed that the robot dog "Spot" belongs to the Secret Service.
A Secret Service spokesperson said protecting the president-elect was a top priority and could not specify its functions, but explained that Spot has surveillance technology and a range of advanced sensors to support security operations.
