People's Power called for a thorough investigation into the forces behind the police assault at a rally of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions over the weekend.

Kim Sang-hoon, chairman of the policy committee, said at the floor meeting, "I think the most fundamental problem lies with Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea."

He also pointed out that the reason why the Democratic Party of Korea held a rally on the same day as the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions was to shake up the Yoon Suk Yeol government by borrowing the number of members and dilute representative Lee's judicial risk.

Secretary-General Seo Bum-soo also stressed that the Democratic Party's rallies are likely to turn violent like the protests of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, and that the forces behind the violent rallies should be strictly investigated.
