Students from Dongduk Women's University occupied the main building and went on a sit-in after it was revealed that they discussed the transition to co-educational.

Students also criticize the school for focusing on the wrong thing, ignoring the expansion of professors and investment in educational facilities.

Dongduk Women's University refuted that nothing has been decided yet, saying that the engineering transition was discussed in the discussion of the school's development plan, but it has never been proposed as a formal agenda.

Sungshin Women's University is also in a similar situation to Dongduk Women's University, with the news that the international department will hire male students, taking off their jumpers and placing a wreath.
