People's Power Rep. Park Soo-young said he will push for a revision of the criminal law that punishes judges for obstruction of justice.

The amendment calls for up to five years in prison or a fine of up to 30 million won for threatening judges or exercising fraudulent influence.

It also included a sentence of up to seven years in prison if a person involved in the case is forced to make a false statement or conciliated.

In addition, in order to prevent deliberate delays in the trial, the criminal procedure law will be revised to process the defendant's application for challenge and jurisdiction transfer within 10 days from the date of each receipt.

Rep. Park plans to propose a bill tomorrow (14th), the day before the first trial of Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea.
