Due to sluggish domestic demand, wholesale and retail businesses have decreased by nearly 150,000 people.

Yes, the number of employed people last month was 28.847 million, up 83,000 from the same month a year ago.

In four months, the growth rate was below 100,000.

In particular, the sluggish employment situation in the domestic sector is not good.

The number of employed people in the wholesale and retail business fell 148,000 from a year ago, the sharpest drop in three years and three months.

The construction industry fell 93,000 as the decline continued for six months.

Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries also fell by 67,000, the largest drop in nearly eight years.

The manufacturing industry also fell by 33,000 people, marking the fourth consecutive month of decline.

The service industry and the elderly led the increase in employment, and the number of "rested" people who are not working or looking for work reached 2.45 million, the highest ever.

The employment rate for 15-64-year-olds was 69.8%, the highest in October, but the unemployment rate was 2.3%, up 0.2%p from a year ago.

The Ministry of Strategy and Finance explained that the base effect, which had a large increase in the number of employed people in October last year at 346,000, increased the number of precipitation days during the survey, and sluggish agricultural production.

He also predicted that employment growth will expand over the remaining two months, considering the increase in real wages and the improvement of private consumption conditions.

The government said it will come up with a third round of investment-boosting measures within this year, saying that difficulties in the construction industry, self-employed businesses, and young people continue.
