In the future, market merchants will also be able to easily purchase fire insurance.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Security and the Financial Services Commission said they will introduce a joint acquisition system not only in traditional markets but also in general alley stores to improve the situation where it is difficult for market merchants to subscribe to fire insurance.

This system is a system in which the Fire Insurance Association takes over items that are denied acquisition due to high loss rates and several insurance companies are jointly responsible for them.

The government expected that the introduction of the system would allow 269,000 additional stores nationwide, including traditional markets, general alleys and underground shopping malls, and stores in commercial revitalization areas to purchase fire insurance.
