Earlier, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump said that the Korean shipbuilding industry needs help and cooperation, so related companies are expecting a warm welcome from the U.S.
Currently, the proportion of foreign workers in shipyards accounts for 10-20% amid the avoidance of domestic manpower, and most of them have entered the country with professional manpower visas.
In this regard, Prime Minister Han emphasized that it is not desirable at the national level for the shipbuilding industry to be unable to take advantage of the booming situation due to manpower shortages.
