Pete Hegseth, nominated by U.S. President-elect Donald Trump as defense secretary, is expected to make a military leadership reshuffle as he believes it has weakened due to "political correctness" rather than the U.S. military's combat capabilities.

The Washington Post reported that Hegseth said in a podcast interview on the 7th that all generals involved in progressive programs or political correctness should be fired, putting the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as the top priority for elimination.

Hegseth also criticized the expression "our diversity is our power" as the dumbest expression on the planet in the military.

Hegseth argued that female combat positions made the U.S. military less effective and lethal and more complicated.

He also pointed out that the reason why the U.S. military has difficulty recruiting new recruits is because of the current military culture, and that people with the same perspective as him are being excluded.
