President Yoon Suk Yeol, who arrived in Peru, will hold individual bilateral talks with China and Japan on the occasion of attending multilateral meetings such as APEC and G20, and will also hold trilateral talks among South Korea, the U.S. and Japan.
The president's office, however, said that the possibility of a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump is not high at this time.
I'm connecting with a reporter from the presidential office in Yongsan.
Reporter Kang Min-kyung! President Yoon Suk Yeol in Peru is planning to hold a summit with China and Japan on the occasion of his participation in APEC?

That's right. President Yoon Suk Yeol will hold a Korea-China summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the morning of the 15th local time and around midnight today in our time.It is the first time in about two years that President
Yoon and President Xi will meet since the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia, in November 2022.
The presidential office said that the Korea-China summit will discuss various measures to promote economic cooperation, cultural and human exchanges.
He also explained that they will exchange in-depth opinions on the situation in the region, including the Korean Peninsula.President
Yoon will then hold a South Korea-U.S.-Japan summit with U.S. President Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba around early tomorrow morning local time.
This is the first three-nation summit with Prime Minister Ishiba of Japan in 15 months since the Camp David summit in August last year.President Yun
will hold a separate Korea-Japan summit with Prime Minister Ishiba on the 16th local time.
The president's office explained that the leaders of the two countries will discuss ways to cooperate to further develop Korea-Japan relations in a future-oriented manner, ahead of the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations next year.
The president's office added that it is also pushing for a Korea-U.S. summit with President Biden.
Taking this trip as an opportunity, we are promoting individual talks with the leaders of about 10 countries, including Vietnam, Brunei, and Canada.
However, it seems unlikely that President Yoon will meet with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on the occasion of this trip.
An official from the presidential office said Trump has been saying that it is difficult to meet with overseas leaders until he takes office on January 20 next year, and explained that President Yoon is more likely to return to Seoul without stopping by the U.S. after his schedule.
However, he added that he will continue to discuss contact between the leaders, including policy issues, with Trump.
In addition, President Yoon Suk Yeol will deliver a keynote speech at the CEO summit handover ceremony on the morning of the 15th, local time, and will hold the official Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) schedule from around midnight today.President
Yoon will travel to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where the G20 summit will be held on the 17th after completing his official visit to Peru, including the Korea-Peru summit, on the 16th local time.
