Secretary-General Kim Yoon-deok said at a press conference at the National Assembly that in the case of the trial, if the sentence is confirmed, there is a problem that election reserves must be returned to the national treasury.
He added that the party will consider forming a defense team directly and that lawmakers from Yulsa and the legal committee will actively work together in response.
Since then, the party's press service has released the case law, minutes of the National Assembly's meetings, and official documents from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in a separate press release, arguing that the first trial ruling was wrong.
In the meantime, Secretary-General Kim dismissed any questions about the possibility of a "leadership change," stressing that many lawmakers have made encouraging calls and feel that party solidarity is improving.
