An H5 type avian influenza antigen has been identified at a broiler farm in Ganghwa-gun, Incheon.

The Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Quarantine Headquarters is scrutinizing whether it is highly pathogenic or not, and it will take up to three days for the results to come out.If

is confirmed to be highly pathogenic, it will be the third case of a poultry farm in winter, following a spawning farm in Donghae, Gangwon-do, and a meat duck farm in Eumseong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do.

The Central Accident Response Headquarters believes that it is highly likely to be diagnosed as highly pathogenic, and is implementing quarantine measures such as killing and epidemiological investigations on farms.
