Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs "80th anniversary of liberation next year..."Promoting as a pan-national project"

The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs announced the achievements of the Yoon Suk Yeol government's veterans sector and future plans and said it will push for a pan-national commemorative project to mark the 80th anniversary of liberation next year.

The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs said the commemorative project will be carried out around the "80th Anniversary of Liberation Project Promotion Committee," a joint committee between ministries and the public and private sectors under the Prime Minister.

He then emphasized that the 80th anniversary of liberation will be a stepping stone for national unity and that the dedication of independence activists will be passed on to future generations by planning a commemorative project based on the public proposal contest.

It also added that it plans to continue to raise compensation for national merit and create new National Cemetery, Hoengseongho National Cemetery, and Jangheungho National Cemetery to secure 90,000 burial facilities by 2029.

In addition, he said he will push for a social preferential system for fulfilling military service obligations, including the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
