About 40 trash balloons were released by North Korea yesterday, including leaflets from the South, and about 20 of them were found in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gyeonggi Province.
Nam Ki-soo, head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said in a statement that despite repeated warnings from the South Korean military, North Korea has carried out provocative acts that cannot be overlooked, saying it has once again supplied filth and garbage balloons this early morning.
He then pointed out that North Korea has so far provided more than 7,000 dirty and trash balloons, causing anxiety, human and material damage to our people, and dropping them on state venues.
He emphasized that North Korea's actions are crossing the line and that North Korea is responsible for all subsequent events.
North Korea has not provided garbage balloons since the 24th of last month, but on the 17th, Kim Yo-jong, vice chairman of the ruling Workers' Party, blasted a South Korean civilian group's leaflets to the North and blew them again early yesterday morning.
