It was around 12:40 p.m. when twin sisters, who were seven months old, were found dead in an apartment in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do.
Police identified the twin sisters, who were each dead in the master bedroom and small room.
A, a biological mother in her 40s, called the police and turned herself in about four hours after the crime, saying she killed her daughters 30 kilometers away from her home.
It was investigated that A suffocated his two daughters with a blanket to death while his husband went to work.
No trauma or abuse was found.
[Resident: What's wrong with babies?] It's pitiful. The baby is identical to the twin. The police are here, the detectives are here, the ambulances are here..]
Mr. A stated in a police investigation that he committed the crime under stress while taking care of childcare alone.
The police explained that A had been treated for depression once, but he had no history of child abuse or difficulty in life.
[Police official: (A) couldn't sleep and her husband didn't help her and it was quite hard.... He's going to be arrested for murder.
The police requested an arrest warrant for A for murder and requested an autopsy of the deceased infant.
