Poland's foreign minister says five major EU member states have backed the issuance of defence bonds as a way to raise funds to boost its defence capabilities."This is the first time the five largest countries in the EU have voted in favour of issuing defence bonds," Polish Foreign Minister
Radoslaw Sikorsky told a news conference after talks with his French, German, Italian and Spanish counterparts in Warsaw on Wednesday.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said in June that Europe should invest at least 500 billion euros in defense over the next 10 years and 736 trillion won in our money to strengthen its defense capabilities.

However, in order to prepare for this, there were divided opinions among member states, ranging from proposals for joint financing, such as bond issuance, to calls for countries to increase their contributions.
