The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that officials from the U.S. State Department and the Japanese Foreign Ministry gathered at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building in Seoul to hold a launching meeting of the trilateral secretariat agreed at the Korea-U.S.-Japan summit on the 15th.
Participants evaluated the specific achievements of the Korea-U.S.-Japan cooperation that will intensify after the Camp David summit and discussed the composition and operation of the secretariat.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it will coordinate cooperation projects in various fields such as security and economy, high-tech and human exchanges with the U.S. and Japan through the Korea-U.S.-Japan Secretariat, while promoting institutionalization and continuous development of trilateral cooperation.
