A driver in his 20s was sentenced to prison for driving a Rolls-Royce vehicle under the influence of drugs in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul, and causing a hit-and-run death.

The Supreme Court today (20th) confirmed the lower court's sentence of 10 years in prison for Shin, who was arrested and charged with fleeing death.

The Supreme Court explained that the original sentence cannot be considered unfair when looking at various circumstances, including the means and results of the crime and the circumstances after the crime.

Shin was arrested in August last year on charges of driving a Rolls-Royce vehicle on a road near Apgujeong Station in Seoul and rushing into the sidewalk, killing a woman in her 20s and fleeing without relief measures.

Shin was given psychotropic drugs at a nearby plastic surgery clinic on the day of the crime and caused an accident while driving a car while it was difficult to drive normally.

After that, the first trial sentenced Shin to 20 years in prison, and Shin agreed with the bereaved family during the appeal process and was commuted at the appeal trial.
