The court did not allow Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, to broadcast the first trial's "perjury teacher" live four days away.

Representative Lee and the prosecution are expected to submit an appeal soon for the first trial of violation of the Public Official Election Act.

Reporter Kim Chul-hee, can you tell us?

Yes, a little while ago, the Seoul Central District Court decided not to allow court filming and live broadcasting next Monday in connection with the first trial of perjury teacher Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea.

The court said it made the decision in consideration of the relevant legal interests and the progress of the related case.

As in the first trial of violation of the election law on the 15th, it seems that the negative impact expected when broadcasted live is greater than the benefit.

According to the court's bylaws, the presiding judge can permit the application for filming the date of the sentence if the defendant agrees, but even if the defendant does not agree, he can permit it if he believes that the public interest is great.

In the case of the lower court, not the Supreme Court's sentence, the first trial of former President Park Geun Hye's manipulation of state affairs and former President Lee Myung Bak's embezzlement and bribery case has been broadcast live so far.

Representative Lee said he would appeal the results in the first trial of the election law, but he still has to submit an appeal, right?

[Reporter]
Yes, in the case of a criminal trial, you will be given seven days to appeal.

Within this period, the defendant or the prosecution can submit an appeal to the first trial court.

Therefore, if Lee disagrees with the results of the first trial of the Public Official Election Act on Friday, he must submit an appeal to the court by midnight tomorrow.

An official from Lee's side said it is still undecided when the appeal will be submitted.

However, as representative Lee expressed his intention to appeal after the trial last week, it is also expected that he may submit an appeal as early as today before the deadline ends.

As the prosecution is also considering whether to appeal or not, both sides are expected to appeal soon.

So far, I'm Kim Chul-hee of YTN at the Seoul Central District Court.
