Seven autonomous districts in Seoul launch 'Gyeongwon Line Underground Council'

The Gyeongwon Line Underground Promotion Council has been launched, involving seven autonomous districts in Seoul, including Yongsan, Seongdong, Dongdaemun, and Jungnang-gu.

These autonomous districts signed a joint proposal requesting the necessity of undergrounding the Gyeongwon Line and prompt promotion, and decided to cooperate to promote the project.

Seven autonomous districts urgently need to resolve regional disconnection and aging in surrounding areas due to ground rail sections, and plan to periodically check progress and strengthen communication with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and select a leading railway underground development project.
