This weekend is generally clear and cool, so it will be good to enjoy the late autumn weather at the end.

However, next week, there will be sub-zero cold again ahead of the start of winter, and there is a possibility of first snow in many inland areas, including Seoul.

Since then, temperature fluctuations have been predicted to be large, although mostly mild this winter,

Let's first look at the weather conditions on the weekend and next week. The weather seems to be changing again.

[Reporter]
Yes, it is. Weather changes are expected to increase again between this weekend and next week.

Until weekends and holidays, it is generally clear and cool, so it will be good to enjoy the late autumn weather at the end.

The problem is next week.

Ahead of the start of winter in December, the cold air is going south again, and the freezing cold is coming.

With a stronger chill going south than last time, morning temperatures are expected to drop significantly below zero towards the end of the week.

The Seoul morning temperature will remain in the video zone until Wednesday before dropping to -1C on Thursday and Friday, and to -3C on Saturday.

The sub-zero cold is predicted until next Monday, so colder weather than usual is expected to continue until early December when winter begins.

In particular, this time, the possibility of first snow is also predicted in the middle of next week in central Seoul and inland areas of North Jeolla Province and North Gyeongsang Province, along with the cold, so the season is expected to gradually move to winter.

I'm curious about the weather this winter because there is news of cold and snow ahead of the start of winter. There was an official announcement at the Korea Meteorological Administration today, right?

[Reporter]
Yes, the Korea Meteorological Administration released its forecast for winter weather for the next three months this morning.

This winter is generally mild, but it is expected to be a winter with a large fluctuation in temperature.

First of all, the Korea Meteorological Administration predicted that this winter's warm La Niña year will have temperatures similar to those of the average year in December and January, and that February will have higher temperatures than the average year.

However, the small sea ice area of the Arctic, which brings cold weather to Korea, is expected to be a variable.

Due to the influence of the Arctic, the cold continental high pressure can expand to our country, so the cold air in the north will descend between December and January, and there will be days when colder weather than usual will come on a regular basis.

Following the fall, the Korea Meteorological Administration warned that mild and cold weather will repeat this winter, and that weather changes could be a big season.

In addition, winter precipitation is expected to be less than usual due to dry weather due to La Niña.

Therefore, the west coast and Yeongdong areas, where snow falls heavily due to the topographical influence of winter, are expected to experience relatively small amounts of snow every time the cold comes rather than heavy snow.
