In the first trial held at the Seoul Central District Court today (22nd), Jeong, a retired major, said, "We acknowledge the objective facts, but we are in a position that it is difficult to punish for stalking."
Jeong's side said stalking should go against the other person's will and cause anxiety and fear through a specific person, and it is questionable whether such requirements are met.
In today's trial, Jeong's bail interrogation was also conducted, and Jeong asked for his release, saying he had no intention of harming his colleagues, doctors.
On the other hand, the prosecution expressed its opposition to bail, saying it should be concerned about secondary abuse and another stigma.
Jeong was arrested and charged last month for making a list of doctors and medical students who did not participate in the medical collective action from June to September and posting it on Telegram, doctors and medical students' communities.
