This week, the average weekly price of gasoline and diesel at local gas stations rose for the sixth consecutive week.

According to the Korea National Oil Corporation's oil price information system Opinet, the average price of gasoline at gas stations nationwide rose 4.8 won to 1,633.9 won in the third week of this month from a week ago.

Seoul, which has the highest price, fell 0.5 won from a week ago to 1,702.0 won, and Ulsan, which has the lowest price, rose 4.2 won to 1,604.3 won.

The average selling price of diesel rose 8.2 won to 1,467.7 won per liter.

International oil prices rose this week due to intensifying Russia-Ukraine war conditions and highlighting the possibility of OPEC+'s delay in easing oil production cuts.

The Korea National Oil Association (KNOC) official said gas prices will also fluctuate by a limited margin as international oil prices fell last week and then rose again this week, adding that gas prices are expected to fall slightly next week in line with international oil prices.
