The Korean government, which decided not to attend the Sado Mine memorial ceremony held by Japan, decided to hold a separate memorial event tomorrow (25th).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it will hold a separate memorial service tomorrow at 9 a.m. to console the victims of the Sado mine at the Korean dormitory.

The event will be attended by Korean government officials, including the ambassador to Japan, and the bereaved families of the victims of the Sado mine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "Our own memorial service tomorrow is an expression of our government's firm determination not to compromise with Japan on past history."

He added that based on these principles, we will continue to strive for the development of bilateral relations that are in the interests of both Korea and Japan.
