Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong's Appeal Trial Today

The appeals court's final hearing on Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong's alleged unfair merger and accounting fraud will be held today (25th).

The Seoul High Court will hold an appeal hearing at 2 p.m. today (25th) for Chairman Lee's alleged violation of the Capital Markets Act.

The final hearing is a process that concludes the court hearing, and the prosecution's sentence and the defendant's final statement are made.

Earlier, Chairman Lee said,
with the aim of succeeding management rights and strengthening control at a minimum cost during the merger process.He was indicted on charges of engaging in various fraudulent transactions, market price manipulation, and accounting fraud promoted by the
Future Strategy Office.

In February, the first trial court acquitted Lee of all 19 charges.
