Four people have been killed as storms with heavy rain and strong winds hit Britain over the weekend.

Over the past two days, the storm "Bert" has rained up to 80% of the average monthly rainfall in November in southern Wales, England, and strong winds of up to 120 kilometers per hour in coastal areas.

A 75-year-old man who went missing by a river was found dead in Tripu, north-west Wales, and a man in his 60s was killed in Winchester, England, when a fallen tree hit a vehicle.

Two people were also killed in storm-related traffic accidents in West Yorkshire, with roads, homes and commercial buildings inundated and landslides closing some roads in southern Wales.

The storm has left 26,000 homes without power across the UK, with some flights cancelled at Heathrow Airport in London.

In London, major parks such as Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park were closed for one day on the 24th due to strong winds and are considering whether to reopen on the 25th.
