Woo Jong-soo, head of the National Investigation Division of the National Police Agency, said at a regular press conference today (25th), Moon was cooperative in the investigation.
Moon is accused of illegally operating an officetel and villa in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul as an Airbnb shared accommodation without registering it as a lodging business.
Police added that they had obtained a search warrant for Airbnb, but they did not execute it physically because their headquarters were not in South Korea and asked the company to cooperate based on this.
Earlier on the 15th, Moon was sent to the prosecution on charges of operating a detached house in Hallim-eup, Jeju, as a shared lodging facility without registration of the lodging business.
