Apple CEO Cook attended a closed-door forum presided over by Premier Li on the morning of the 24th local time, a day before the opening ceremony of the 2nd China International Supply Chain Promotion Fair."China, an important link in global supply chains, will continue to struggle to maintain supply chain safety," Prime Minister
Li said."Without our Chinese partners, we wouldn't have Apple right now," Cook CEO
said at the scene.
The meeting drew attention in that it was the first dialogue between high-level Chinese figures and global companies since Donald Trump's return to power was confirmed.
Apple has participated in its second consecutive supply chain fair, and this is Cook's first time attending.
More than 80% of Apple's 200 major partners have one or more manufacturing facilities in China, and Cook also visited the country in March and October.
