Hangeul Calligraphy, which uses ink and brush to write Hangeul, has been designated as a national intangible heritage.

According to the National Heritage Administration, Hangul calligraphy has been handed down as an important means of recording the lives of Koreans through paper, fiber, stone, and iron since the 15th century when Hunminjeongeum was invented.

In particular, he explained that it contains an aesthetic sense and social image that changes over time as it is passed down today in various types of writing and writing from the royal family to the private sector.

The designation of national intangible heritage will be finalized after collecting opinions from all walks of life for 30 days during the designation notice period, and deliberation by the Intangible Heritage Committee.
