A truck crash down a 5m shaft...The driver's dead.

At around 8 a.m. yesterday (25th), a 5-ton truck driven by A in his 30s crashed into a safety rail and crashed into the driveway 5m below the height on the downhill side of the Gomnae Tunnel access road in Jeonggwan-eup, Busan.

bounced out of the vehicle and crashed when driver A shocked the safety rail, and was taken to the hospital in cardiac arrest, but died.

Police officials said they could not confirm if the vehicle had been badly broken and that the driver had fastened his seat belt and found no concrete signs of attempting to brake on the downhill road.
