Korea Zinc said it has selected Hanwha as a preferred bidder for the system integration package in connection with its Australian battery energy storage business, "BESS," which is being conducted by its Australian subsidiary Ark Energy.
He stressed that this selection is significant in that the two sides continue to cooperate with eco-friendly renewable energy and hydrogen and target the rapidly growing BESS market led by the Australian government.
With the contract expected to reach hundreds of billions of won, the two companies plan to form a TF team from the end of this month to discuss detailed conditions and sign a supply contract early next year.
