Over 20cm of heavy snow fell in the central part of the country, including Seoul, overnight, and heavy snow warnings were issued everywhere.
There are some places where snow has weakened for a while now, but caution is needed as up to 20cm more snow is expected in the central interior by tomorrow.
We will connect with reporters to find out the detailed eye situation and prospects.
Reporter Kim Min-kyung, it's the first snow and it's literally 'heavy snow'.
A heavy snow warning was also issued in some parts of Seoul, how much did it fall overnight?
[Reporter]
Yes, heavy snowfall of more than 20 centimeters in the central part of the country, including 22 centimeters in Yongmunsan Mountain in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province, 21.7 centimeters in Daehwa-myeon, Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province, 20.6 centimeters in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, and 20.4 centimeters in Gangbuk-gu, fell overnight.
This is because the trough containing the cold air of the upper layer passed through the central region overnight.
Due to this, heavy snow warnings are issued in northeastern Seoul, Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province, Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, and Pyeongchang.
A heavy snow warning has been issued for all of Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, Honam, and Yeongnam.
The snow cloud gradually fell eastward as the troughs that affected it until dawn moved, weakening snow in some areas, but
Still, snow clouds continue to flow from the west, so the snow is expected to continue as it repeats its strength and weakness.
Not only the snow, but the wind is also a problem.
At one point in the early morning, typhoon-like gusts of more than 30 meters per second hit Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, 34.9 meters per second and 32.5 meters per second in Taean, Chungcheongnam-do.
Strong winds are expected to blow around 20 meters per second across the country, with special warnings for strong winds in the west and south coasts, Jeju Island, and parts of the east coast of Yeongnam.

It's already snowed a lot, but the central part of the country will get up to 20cm more by tomorrow?
[Reporter]
Yes, with snow clouds continuing to come in from the west, a crisis is expected tonight as well.
This is because strong snow clouds are expected to flow in once again tonight as the pressure trough on the upper floors of Korea rotates counterclockwise.
The Korea Meteorological Administration predicts that up to 30cm more snow will fall in the mountains of Gangwon-do, more than 20cm in the metropolitan area, and more than 15cm in Chungcheong and Honam by tomorrow.
In particular, as this snow is a "heavy snow" full of moisture, there is concern about the collapse of outdoor facilities such as greenhouses as additional snow is added in a situation where a lot of snow has already fallen.
The snow will begin to stop gradually from tomorrow afternoon, but Chungcheong, Honam, and Jeju Island are expected to continue until the day after tomorrow.
