Minister Park appeared at the National Assembly's Legislative and Judiciary Committee today (27th) and pointed out, "It is a problem to impeach the head of the investigation and the working-level officials who do not have clear constitutional or legal violations because they do not like the outcome of the case."
At the same time, he refuted that if it is to hold political responsibility, it is more appropriate to impeach or dismiss the Minister of Justice, the chief supervisor of the prosecution office.
Minister Park also stressed that if the central prosecutor's command is suspended, the damage will be solely to the people.
In addition, the Democratic Party of Korea has decided to report the impeachment motion against three investigators, including Chief Prosecutor Lee, Senior Prosecutor Cho Sang-won, and Director Choi Jae-hoon of the Anti-Corruption Investigation Department, to the National Assembly plenary session next month in connection with the non-prosecution of First Lady Kim Gun-hee's Deutsche Motors case.
