In Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, where heavy snow fell, a telephone pole fell, causing a series of power outages.

At around 7 a.m. today, a telephone pole fell sideways in Namjong-myeon, Gwangju.The power supply to 230 nearby households was cut off due to the

accident, and some households suffered water cut due to power outages.

KEPCO completed the restoration and resumed electricity supply at around 1:30 p.m., about six hours after the power outage.

A KEPCO official said, "We assume that the utility pole collapsed due to a large amount of snow, weakening the ground," adding, "Even during the restoration work, it continued to snow a lot, making it somewhat difficult to enter manpower and equipment."

At around 9 a.m., a tree that could not bear the weight of snow fell in the area of Jinjinam-ro, Toechon-myeon, Gwangju, and touched the electric wire, causing power outages for more than 30 households in the area, and was restored at around 4:40 p.m.

As of 4 p.m., Gwangju City received a lot of snow of 22.9cm, and the city sent a disaster text related to the power outage accident to ask citizens to pay attention.
