With a special snow warning in the Seoul metropolitan area in effect, Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon ordered residents of vulnerable facilities such as greenhouses to evacuate urgently.

As a result, the province sent an official letter to 31 cities and counties to immediately order prompt on-site inspections and evacuation measures.

There are an estimated 5,500 greenhouse residents in the province, and the province plans to cover all budgets, including accommodation costs for emergency evacuation.

The provincial government will provide accommodation and food expenses from the Gyeonggi Disaster Relief Fund if residents who need to evacuate from their residence due to heavy snow evacuate to nearby motels and other accommodation facilities.

Accommodation costs are 70,000 won per day and food costs up to 9,000 won per meal.
