Hezbollah, Leader Nasrallah Open Funeral Only After Ceasefire

Lebanese militant Hezbollah says it will hold a public funeral for its leader, Hasan Nasrallah, who was killed in Israeli airstrikes as a ceasefire with Israel takes effect.

Hezbollah Political Committee Vice Chairman Mahmoud Komati told a news conference today (27th) that a funeral worthy of Nasrallah was being prepared and that it would be an open and official one.

Nasrallah was killed in a targeted Israeli airstrike in late September in the Dahiye area outside Beirut, Lebanon.

Hezbollah has so far been unable to hold Nasrallah's funeral as Israeli forces continue ground fighting and large-scale airstrikes in Lebanon.
