The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education delivered an official letter to each education support office.
The education office said it is concerned about students' safety accidents due to heavy snow and falling temperatures, and actively recommended schools to close down at all levels, and said to operate an emergency contact network to understand the safety situation.

Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon also requested the recommendation of closing elementary schools and kindergartens in the province.
