Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province, was selected as the "2024 Korea City Awards."

Jinju-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, has been selected as the "Korea City Awards" presented by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for the second time after 2022.

The Korea Urban Grand Prize has been selected since 2000 to commemorate the efforts of local governments that contributed to the realization of sustainable cities and the improvement of living infrastructure, and this year, Jinju City in South Gyeongsang Province was highly regarded as a model case for sustainable urban environment, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said.

The Prime Minister's Award at the 2024 City Awards was selected as Goyang City in Gyeonggi Province, and 12 local governments, including Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province and Jongno-gu in Seoul, will receive the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award.
